Backwoods Digital is a one-person studio. I design, build, and look after websites for local businesses that care about doing things well.

I started Backwoods Digital because I kept seeing good businesses stuck with websites that didn't do them justice — cookie-cutter templates, sites nobody could update, or builders who vanished the moment the invoice was paid.

The name is a reminder of how I like to work: steady, self-reliant, and built to hold up over time. Like a well-made cabin, a good website should be solid at its foundation, fit its surroundings, and only get better with care.

When you work with me, you get a direct line to the person who built your site, for as long as you need it.

Every project follows the same trail. You'll always know where we are, what comes next, and what I need from you.

    We talk through your business, your customers, and what the site needs to do. I map the ground before cutting any trail.

  2. STEP 2

    Blueprint

    I plan the pages and content, then design how it all looks. You see it and shape it before anything gets built.

  3. STEP 3

    Build

    I build the site, joint by joint — fast, accessible, and solid on every screen size.

  4. STEP 4

    Launch

    We test, polish, and go live. I handle the domain, the move from your old site, and the details in between.

  5. STEP 5

    Tend

    After launch I stick around. Updates, edits, and improvements keep the site as good as the day it opened.
